Nice comic, ("quick" chemistry lesson follows) in reality that wouldn't happen. Water has a positively charged side and a negative side because of its shape, if water would be I-shaped it would be neutral, but because Oxygen has a little stronger charge than Hydrogen it pushes the water molecule into a V-shape with Oxygen in the middle and Hydrogen at the ends. Wich creates the charge difference (I think O is +, and the H side is -), and just like 2 regular magnets dont like the same charged sides, so water behaves the same.
