Beauty Doesn't Last Forever

To start, here is a piece I made for Philosophy Class: (first posted in Renew's contest)
I do not believe in the perpetuity of relationship. Nothing can ever last in this world, be it great, be it atrocious. This is best exemplified in the Japanese and Buddhist belief of the impermanence of all things. Indeed, the cherry blossom, however beautiful and bright, will fade away. Romance is the same way, like the cherry blossom it is intense and colorful, ethereal and fleeting. This tragedy of the soul is because the spring in which love blossoms must one day give way to the long winter. But winter gives way to spring and we must move on. Because an eternal relationship brings about complacency and stagnation and that is not the way of the world. The way of the world is to march on and reform.
