Sparkles of Snow

This painting is what I saw when I went with my dad on a trip on a nearby mountain. The sky was clear and it was right below zero, and for some reason, the crystals of ice on the grass was sparkling in all colors of rainbow! I had never seen that before and thought I was just seeing things, but I took a photo of it:

Have you seen this? I think it has to have something to do with the atmospheric condition and time of day, because we went "rainbow sparkles" hunting with my brother the following day but couldn't find any. It looks a bit cliche when painted, but who cares, it's nature after all ^^
