Zelda: The Old Man

So I've had this BotW theory dinkling around in my head for a while and I figured - Zelda's coming out in 3-???ish months, and will murder my theory with naval artillery (cannons). Might as well sketch this out before its too late.
Really, the only reason for this theory is that I found the monks and the old man similar. They're all brown, old, and overseeing a shrine. But then I thought - man wouldn't it hurt if link and old man were buds 100 years ago but Link cant remember boy that'll produce sads.
Also! I really want there to be another Sheik character. SOMEDAY in Zelda. So this is also kind of my version of a botw Sheik.
Also I just really like the old man. I'll be sad if he ends up not being important at all. But oh well.
