We've gone a solid few days into 2017. The new year brings out superhero-like motivational powers. Unfortunately, these motivations often fizzle out quickly. I find one of the easiest ways for my motivation to run out, is for my anxiety to step in.
As a woman, it's easy to find lots of things to be worried about. I find myself replaying scary headlines in my head every time I think about getting out and taking a run. That was the inspiration for this episode of Anxiety and Me, the comic.
I imagine my anxiety rushing around in my brain, trying to prevent me from getting active. Exercise is a way many people manage their anxiety. If I actually start exercising, my anxiety may shrivel up and die off. That would be great for me, but not for my anxiety.
Hopefully I can find a way through my anxiety, that or I have to stop reading the news.
P.S. I've never heard of actual rabbits attacking runners.
