"Edit: I'm comin' back! I know that it's been six months, but I've been super busy with moving, settling into my new school and city, theatre stuff (Phillipa Haymes from A Murder is Announced + a bunch of auditions), junior year stuff, AP tests, SATS, etc.
In any case, I'm not happy at all with how the first few pages came out, so I'm redoing them, this time with an improved (?) artstyle and a new art program and tablet.
All I need is a little patience, and I'll try to be better, but this project is a little slow.
In any case, I'll be uploading a small teaser soon, hopefully to at least slightly make up for my absence. (And lack of working on Dustfall at all, tbh)
Thanks for checking in!"
This story concept actually is something that I came up with over a year ago, initially as a nanowrimo project. Frankly, I'm glad I didn't go through with that, because my characters deserve better. (Won't stop this trainwreck though)
I've devoted the last year's worth of projects and art to writing this, and one day I picked up an old drawing tablet, and somehow we're here.
RIP to all 160~ pages that I've written. I'm gonna tear you apart.
In the future, a small portion of Earth's population survives the cataclysmic event, dubbed the "dustfall." In the efforts for a clean society and planet, ego meets ego to restore what was lost when dust rained from the night sky.
Carter Leduc - like anyone - was born and submitted to the traditional examinations. Unlike anyone, he failed miserably, and must accept a new life (and eventual death) in the military, fighting off rebellions and uprisings that threaten the perfect society's livelihood.
But what if that military is something entirely different? What if, hidden within every mind, are pillars of salt that hold up the great new nation?
