For the same reason you can’t directly translate a story from a book to film, I can’t directly translate this story from novel to manga. There will be some differences in the manga (the novel – finished – came first) such as some scenes changed or added (also in the manga the character Alyssa plays a bigger role) and although some changes have been made to make this fit more suitably as a manga, the core of the story will be the same.
I recommend reading the original novel ‘A Change of Heart’ – which can be found through my profile page, where there is a link to the uncensored version (available through Smashwords – free to read…you’re welcome ^^
