Thomas Jefferson and the Tomato

So there was one time that Jefferson had people over for dinner. Now at the time, America was kind of stupid. We thought that tomatoes were poisonous, being that they are a part of the same family as deadly nightshade. MIND YOU, IT'S THEIR LEAVES THAT ARE POISONOUS NOT THE TOMATO ITSELF! Anyway, Thomas Jefferson, having roamed to many places in his day, knew better than that. He knew that tomatoes were the last thing from poisonous, he had eaten several before. So at this dinner he hosted, he wanted to impress everyone. SO HE ATE A TOMATO. Like that's all he did and people thought he was going to die, they though he had just committed suicide in front of them and everyone freaked out. When he didn't die they were like "YOOO THIS DUDE IS A MOTHER FUCKING SUPER HERO"
