As I reflect on my life, I realize that I have developed a lot of silly fears. I realize that not everyone has a strange fear that they might get a brain parasite from eating sushi, or that they may be cut out of their tent and murdered while camping. That got me wondering, where do all of these fears come from?
Obviously, my anxiety plays a big part in my creative contortions of reality. I imagine that my anxiety is quite a fan of science, and spends a lot of time in the lab developing new and innovative ways for me to fear everyday life. When the formula is perfected, the methodology is written up in great detail and kept in the library with all of the others.
That idea was the inspiration for this episode of Anxiety and Me, the comic. I hope you enjoy it!
