I really like Claude... With style like that, he's gotta be great. No but seriously - I know you probably hear this a lot but I want to say it anyway. I honestly think it would be impossible to hate any of your characters; you have a way of (from what I've seen) making even the most arrogant or generally suspicious characters like-able in some way. It's extremely refreshing to see a creator give personality and depth to anyone other than the main crew - especially a potential villain. Just the fact that many of us are conflicted over Claude is unique; 99% of the time, new characters are shoved in your face haphazardly with an immediate "they're good" or "they're bad", but you don't do that. You take the time to introduce each character thoughtfully, and you clearly take the time to plan out exactly how you want the character to be perceived both initially and overall. The little snippets always keep people wondering, especially with Claude. Even though he might be a villain (and I say that with uncertainty), he has traits that do make him like able, such as his seemingly familiar interactions with Rex. Even though only four (now) characters have been *officially* introduced, it feels like we've met so many more. That's because you also give every background character some personality; be it their masks, outfits, or few lines of dialogue. It's so rare to see an author incorporate interactions with non-main characters. In most other stories, if a character gets say... A strawberry ice cream cone... The artist won't even draw the stand guy! You'll get a half-assed change exchange and a hand wave. Anyways, I got off track. Long story short, I absolutely am in love with all your character's designs and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us with Claude! An extravagant mask means an extravagant role, right? xD
