This illustrates a day I had recently with my daughter. She had to leave school early to go to a doctor appointment and when we were finished we went to a drug store to buy something. As kids do she was picking everything up and kept asking me to buy something. She kept gravitating toward the makeup and my only thought was that the only makeup I could even come close to figuring out how to do for her was to paint her nails. So I let her get nail polish figuring it would be a good way to bond with her a little bit if I could get her to sit long enough for her nails to dry. She was so proud of her new nails and wanted to show everybody when they got home from work and school.
