Defunding the Arts

Publicly funded art is important. It gave us Fred Rogers. It gave us Ken Burns' Baseball.
Yes, Baseball is the best Ken Burns documentary and **** off if you believe otherwise. It's okay to be wrong. Accept your wrongness and move on. Don't be stubborn about it.
Um, yes, anyway. The arts. If you combine the budgets for the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (PBS, NPR, and much more), the cost to each American citizen is roughly $2.25... a year.
The United States of America spent 822 times that amount on the military last year.
In 2011 alone, we spent enough money on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (a fighter that is still years from production and has turned into a Trump talking point about how he's going to "turn that project around" after 9 years of failures) to fund the NEA, NEH, and CPB for over 15 years.
But, hey, if you don't value the arts, don't listen to me. Listen to this guy.

Be better than this, America.
