Meet Ophelia the Tree Sprite.
As a sprite Ophelia can't leave the tree where she was born. Only once she has grown enough to become a true spirit can she separate herself from the plants and move around freely. Most spirits stay close to home though, since that is where their power resides. The farther away they are from their birth tree, the less power they retain.

There are a few advantages to not having a face. You'll never drown for one. I guess poison that you need to drink or inhale would also never be an issue. It will just destroy my home instead. For a few years now we've noticed our orchards producing less fruit. The leaves have become discolored and sickly. With the trees dying that means our orchard sprite, Ophelia, is dying as well. She saved my life when I was born. My life is connected to hers, and if she dies. So do I.
