I found Pokemon XY's plot to be very lackluster in comparison to the previous generation. That's why when I played the post-game plot, a short story about a reoccurring character Looker hiring the protagonist to work in his detective agency, I was surprised at how good it all was. It created tension not through the threat of the end of the world a la the main games, but through more realistic struggle such as being unable to pay rent. It added emotional depth to a character who was largely played for comedy in the past. By the end of it, I felt more of an emotional connection with the entire Bureau then I did in the main game with my supposed 'best friends'. That emotional connection is what inspired me to write stories about the detective agency that ended up becoming a small family.
TLDR; Pokemon fanfic about Looker and his detective agency.
While there is potential for future stories, I wouldn't hold my breath for updates.
