Goals, huh? Goals goals goals. Goals can be scary. What if you make a goal you can't reach? That's how I ended up in a major I didn't really want, because reaching all the goals in that future profession were practical and safe. Deciding to step away from that future and toward my current one was the most terrifying decision I've ever made. Pursuing uncertain goals is a scary thing. For me, though, traveling down a path I knew I never wanted to travel was worse, and it's such a relief getting away from it.
