Snipperclips is all about cutting your friends. No, put that knife away – it’s about strategically removing parts of the yourself and the other player to complete challenges.
Disclaimer: Although this is a Nintendo Switch exclusive, I played this game on someone else’s console. So if you’re thinking “Man, why didn’t David do Breath of the Wild?” or “For the love of all that is holy do Breath of the Wild” I get it but can’t do it. That is, unless you’d like to send me a switch in the mail...
--Verdict--
Art: Cutesy.
Gameplay: You and a buddy rotate yourselves and snip at each other to a) pick things up, b) push things around, or c) fit into a shape. It’s pretty simple, and absolutely hilarious when it devolves into sabotage by slicing your friend out of existence (or purposefully do this in the party game).
Replayability: Medium-low. There’s not much to it, and although that makes learning the game easy that also unfortunately takes away the need to really play it more.
Would I recommend? Not really. This felt more like a free DLC than a full game. It’s cute and fun to pick up for a bit but after a few hours we cut our losses (heh, get it???) and jumped to another game instead.
