Hana (はな) means "flower" in Japanese. At the same time, it can also mean "nose." Hanasu (はなす) is "to speak."
Legend has it that the reason sakura blossoms (cherry blossoms) are red is due to the trees absorbing the blood of people supposedly buried under them.

I really like the composition of this, how the edges of the drawing aren't the usual square but "diamond" shaped, and then placed in a brass handle, it's really clever ovo
