That comic just perfectly displays what bugs me in quite a spell.
So many people don't help others or belittle their problems just because they don't feel like it would be significant or "everyone has them". But just cause a problem isn't significant to them or most of the people and just because it is easy for them to deal with it doesn't mean it is easy for you to deal with it. I just hate it when people don't feel like helping others just cause nobody helped them when they were in need or because it's no big deal to them. Of course, some people are just whining or complaining about everything, but if someone genuinely asks you for help you should consider that he's seriously struggling and not just put it off. And yes, when someone deals with a problem themselves it can strengthen them more than when someone helps them, but it should be their decision to take if they want to tackle it alone or if they need help and not the decision of the person that is asked for help. I understand that self-reliance is an important to trait to learn during life, but to deny somebody help who would really need it is just plainly stupid and immature.
