I have a crossword app on my iPad. The crossword re-uses the clues of certain words over and over. One of the word I often see is 'ami', French for 'friend'. The clues are either "friend of Pierre", "Parisian Pal", or "Brest friend". For the last clue, it is a play on word and is referring to the city of Brest, Brittany in Northern France.
