Hiatus ends in 19 days, people! do you remember where we left off? if you dont wanna reread or maybe got left a little unsure, heres a recap. see you soon!
I was the one assigned to comment on your comic so you're stuck with me for 5 pages, bwahaha. I'm kinda going back and forth reading from the start and end to make sure I don't miss details so far a lot of the pros are:
- Palette per page, you pick a mood and select colours that properly reflect it through out the page (also helps in distinguishing flashbacks from present day)
- Formor design, I don't know if this was invented by you or actually part of the old Celtic legends but the character designs compliment your story that is clearly pointing out a misunderstanding between races. To be specific, in that they happen to have what is normally considered 'demonic' features but clearly do not look 'demonic', just neutrally appear to be a different race of beings.
- Font choice - Works perfectly for the Celtic inspiration and time/ period setting without being difficult to read.
- P.O.V, I like that the MC is the non-human race, and specifically one that isn't overused and abused like elves and dwarves or whatever. It offers a fresh look at racial divisions in a fantasy setting.
Some of the cons:
- I feel like dynamic lightweight could be utilized, especially in panels where you have black backgrounds and white outlined figures. Sometimes the lines get quite thin and it can be hard to make out the drawing. Here's a quick tutorial if you're not sure what I mean. http://nsio.deviantart.com/art/Nsio-explains-Line-Dynamics-411098876
- Sometimes I feel like the cursing is a little jarring against the archaic speech, however I did some research on words like "fuck" and "shit" and they happen to go back waaay earlier than people think. So I think it's more just misconception on the word's origins where culturally they feel modern. :0
updates Wednesdays
The Fomor and the Humans have been at war so long, nobody can quite remember why. However, when the daughter of a Fomor king falls in love with a prodigious human witch, things may change forever.
