With each sentence, the artist disappeared from that world, consumed by their own lies. It's a shame, considering how pretty they were...
...but from the lies sprouted an appropriate lily."

The drawing is based on the design of the enemies in a game series called "LiEat." The game trilogy focused on a con artist who goes by many names and his lie-eating dragon. The enemies in question are-- you probably guessed-- lies in the shape of shadow animals like dogs, cats, and bunnies.
Lilies are flowers you would see at a funeral, being that they are associated with the innocence restored to the soul of the departed. White lilies in particular represent purity, but white stargazer lilies symbolize sympathy.
