"The oldest neighbourhood in Manila is Intramuros – Latin for ‘inside the walls’. In the 16th century, Manila became the capital of the Philippines and the administrative centre of Spanish colonial rule.Only the Spanish elite and Mestizos (mixed race) were permitted to live inside Intramuros, where at night the city gates were locked down. The natives and Chinese were not permitted to live inside the walled fortress and were resigned to live outside the great walls of Intramuros. "

I hope you guys are liking this so far. This "Kanlungan"(Sanctuary) arch is around 10 updates long and it's pretty much their story when they were kids.
At the heart of the Philippines lies the walled district of Intramuros. Inside its thick stone barriers is the country's center of commerce, trade, religion ,politics and power. Vibrant and exhilarating, it is a place of light and promises. But this story is not about this seemingly perfect city, it is about two boys, one who lived inside and one who lived outside the walls.
