During his time in Arles, France (including, but not limited to his time in the mental hospital), Van Gogh wrote to his brother, Theo, telling him stories of his day and how things were going and what not. I chose one of those correspondences and used the painting the sketch later became as part of the story. I also used a self portrait he painted while there. Enjoy!
