I like how in the end Maurice just kinda accepts that Belle is in love with the monster that almost killed him by throwing him in a cold jail tower. Can you imagine the Prince apologizing to Maurice as a human, "Sorry I left you to rot in a jail cell father in law, my bad!! I was just really moody at the time lol"
