The Faded, also known in many countries as Wights, Poltergeists, Reapers, and Living Shadows. These monsters sustain themselves on the souls of mortals and are commonly found congregating around summoning circles, a Lich's lair, and the sites of brutal murders. Due to their nature, both necromancers and mages of the dark arts are known to summon these creatures under contract, usually pertaining to sacrifice during summoning or the promise of an endless string of souls. Do not, however, assume that these creatures are loyal. Should they find any reason to drop their end of a contract, they will, and it will be at the cost of the summoner's life. Faded are the creations of Khaol, the duke of the fallen gods, and patron to dark magic users and necromancers alike. Faded are known for their stealth, and it is advised to always be on guard at night due to their ferocity and intense hostility. These monsters are known for their killing methods, to possess and rip apart a victim from the inside, while devouring their soul, and then leaving the remains to rot. Shadows are their best friends, and most civilians who live in Faded-infested areas will keep their homes warded to keep away the shadowy beasts.
