Thanks again for taking time to follow Creatures of Habit. After weeks of deliberation, I bit the bullet and upgraded my hardware from a Intuos pad to a tablet. I never quite felt comfortable drawing without directly looking at what I was drawing, so I figured this upgrade (while expensive) was a great investment for this project. I was not expecting my art to instantly be amazing, but I do feel a lot more confidence to try new things in order to improve. For Patrons of Creatures of Habit, I posted my first new attempts at both Duncan and Oizys using the pad. While there's a long way to go, and a lot I want to improve upon. I dare say there's a remarkable difference from what you've seen through strip 16 to these revisions. If you're curious to see then you can go to the Support tab(on website) to become a patron. I've re-done strip 17 so you will get your first glimpse of the updated Duncan next week! Oizys revamp likely won't be seen until strip 18
On the surface, Creatures of Habit is story about a man’s struggles and challenges dealing with his unwanted “companions”depression, anxiety, social anxiety; all of whom have their own voices and influence over his daily life. Underneath, it's a story about perseverance, resiliency, fighting for a better tomorrow, and most of all breaking negative habits.
