Not sure what the deal is, but Parker is freaked out by my guitar.
It's a fairly non-imposing Taylor 314CE, but the kid doesn't know what to make of the thing. Every time I bust it out to play a few jams, the boy just stares at the guitar intently before clinging to his mom and crying.
Perhaps I'm a horrible musician. Actually, I know I am, but that's beside the point. No matter how badly I'm playing, it's not like I'm rocking death metal! It's open chords! It's G, C, and D - arguably the happiest chords you can play on a guitar! Doesn't matter. Dude's not having it.
I hope that this isn't a foreshadowing of the boy's musical future. My hope is that he'd have a deep appreciation of music, and that he'd want to learn to play guitar. I mean, if the kid doesn't want to learn; no biggie. But if he fears for his life every time he's near a guitar... Man, that's gonna be hard to deal with when he's seventeen, you know?

Do your kids have an interest in music? How old were they when they started expressing interest?
