I find a lot of people struggle with making satisfying endings! Let's see what we can do to make sure you don't struggle too! I might elaborate on this more in a future writing tutorial, but school's been keeping me busy.
And hey, if you like the work we do, please do consider tipping!

There's always this battle between "write for the readers" and "write for yourself". I think that often, people tend to forget who they're writing for. If they're writing for themselves, they can write whatever they want, but if they publish it, then they shouldn't expect people to like their work if it wasn't meant to bring readers a certain degree of satisfaction.

A number of writers confuse emotional value with shock value, which isn't helped by the fact that shock value stories tend to get media coverage (because medias rely on shock value a lot to attract audience).

And then there are the writers who just want to murder their audience's feels to feel mighty. Sure, I think pretty much every writer has a wish to make readers cry, because it's not so easy to trigger, but it shouldn't be the end goal -- at least not in itself. Emotions need to come with a message/theme for the reader to keep on thinking of the story after it's ended.

I think that triggering thoughts is the greatest reward of writing, but that's my opinion of course^^
