Kasumi's Romance

Here is a collection of art that illustrates Kasumi and Cappy’s relationship. In most romances, the couple usually despise each other in the beginning, and tend to bicker even when they hook up. I wanted to make a healthy relationship where two nice people hook up and have a nice relationship that inspires people to have their own nice relationship. Nice. It may be lacking in realism…but it’s a cartoon, so it’s lacking 100% in realism.
As an aside, Kasumi appears to be….lacking…in the lady areas. If the story was fleshed out more, I would have Kasumi deal with and build up confidence with body image.

Hey kids, you wanna read a comic about human trafficking?!
Yeah, that’s what I thought. Teen me was VERY altruistic, and I had an idea for a story that dealt with a podunk future where half the world benefitted from slavery and the other half loved circumventing such business practices. Enter the Cappy Crew: a band of poaching pirates that travel around and disrupt dirty dealings. I thought it would be an interesting concept to deal with a real world problem, but also show off that those who challenge the slave trading business have made their own morbid business model; poaching pirates earn experience points and move up ranks by freeing slaves, and there are elite classes within the hero ranks that blur the lines between helping and harboring.
