You ever try to tell a complete story in just one picture?
Here you go!
Because I have a dark heart, my plan was to kill off the main character in the middle of the story. Cappy and Kasumi were caught in a trap, and both certainly expected to die. Kasumi survives, but Cappy is killed. Somehow, Cappy is cloned, and the story arc would discuss that it is your experiences that craft the person you are, rather than your genes. The Cappy Clone struggles as people put on the expectations they had for the original Cappy.
For now my art buddies, this ends my very quirky experiment that I genuinely believed would be a viable story people would want to read.
Hey kids, you wanna read a comic about human trafficking?!
Yeah, that’s what I thought. Teen me was VERY altruistic, and I had an idea for a story that dealt with a podunk future where half the world benefitted from slavery and the other half loved circumventing such business practices. Enter the Cappy Crew: a band of poaching pirates that travel around and disrupt dirty dealings. I thought it would be an interesting concept to deal with a real world problem, but also show off that those who challenge the slave trading business have made their own morbid business model; poaching pirates earn experience points and move up ranks by freeing slaves, and there are elite classes within the hero ranks that blur the lines between helping and harboring.
I hope you enjoy the beginning building blocks of this world I started!
