2046 was set to be a great year for humanity, crime at an all-time low education at its highest since records began and world piece achieved overnight. alongside this humanity was about to user in a whole new age with a worldwide collaborative effort known as “project harmony" which came in two waves.
wave one, integration. the world authority of human welfare funded this portion of the project and where reasonable for Deploying the forenamed interface implant which connects to the central nervous system and allows the user to connect to their main computer system at any time and anywhere.
with the population of earth successfully integrated, it was a just a matter of months until wave two.
wave two was a combined effort between all major technology giants. this came in the form of an update sent of a communication system designed especially for project harmony. the update was meant for activation of the key functions of the implants such as health monitoring, Augmented and Virtual reality environments, and the biggest and most anticipated feature, memory capture which would have allowed the user to store their memories on their personal computers and back them up to various cloud storage solutions.
however, this is the sage where it went wrong, the stage where the update was hijacked by the cyber terrorist organization known as "Malrus", instead of just a simple link to they're computers users where permanently bound to them and this, is when hackither started
hackither was the name given to the quote on quote "game" started by malvus that was later pick up by groups such as ransom and Trojan. the game was simple every one with a harmony implant was linked to their computer and so long as their computer remained operational so would the user.
But Malrus did something else alongside this, at the very moment they hijacked the harmony update they made every IP on the planet available to the public.
within hours the game had started and with any game there are consequence for losing in this case results ranged from mild headaches and temporary blackouts or even severe memory loss and in the most extreme cases.
Death.
