Talking to a friend one day,
the Artist thought back to when
the world wasn’t depressing;
when the Artist’s friends weren’t piled with responsibilities, and—

From one friend to another, the Artist learned this:
Adults are just big children. The only difference is perspective, life experience, and a little brain development.
That friend
missed how things used to be in the group
missed viewing the world in a previous perspective
was negatively affected by things going on
and it hurt the Artist, not being able to do anything else but talk through a screen.

To view the world once more
not knowing or going through what's happening now
To go back to the times when ignorance was a blessing
When there was no reason to want to hate someone;
I’d kill to go back that time, just once!
If only obtaining ignorance(innocence)was as easy as covering your eyes.

Artificial Means:
Hypocritical to declare that they’re real to the Artist (to me)
after ridiculing love and people as being such.
(However, I truly believe there must be a truth to being friends via digital means)

The world seen as a shelter,
what those adults do can’t affect us in here
at least
until reality even cracks through
(those thoughts I want to use to protect you from sadness)
(don’t leave)

What would the youngest know about problems like that?
(I’m afraid so I)
In fear of expressing those feelings of love
the Artist
took them as inspiration, an excuse for attention.
(Please, notice me)

—when that person wasn’t as busy.
That person was dragged to be an adult.
“…I loved that person,
even knowing it was impossible for that to happen,
I admitted how I felt to my friend….

…I also miss those times,
when I was the one to log out early
when he was on every day
when she wasn’t as busy too…
…I want to hate someone, but I can’t.
Not without a reason, according to her.”

The Artist, tired, left and logged out for the night. May tomorrow hold some better inspiration.

(Since Tapas has this dumb rule where descriptions can only be 2000 characters, the stuff that's written after the story stuff gets placed here.) The origin of Narcissus flowers is tied with the Greek myth about a name of the same name. He met his demise after being attracted to his reflection in the river, drowning himself.

Narcissus and daffodils are the same flower, so the meanings overlap. They are usually a symbol of narcissism and egotism. They can also represent good luck/happiness and future misfortune.

If you found this, you're either wasting your time or you're actually interested in my crappy work.

Simple traditional art drawings an artist foolishly shares to get attention.
