Nick after reading many books, doing a lot of research outside his village, testing a few mechanisms, he formulated a very absurd theory, but that made an incredible amount of sense.

Or not.

He was not sure, for his theory involved a very paranormal magick that was used for military purposes, something like a kind of alchemy, or something similar to magic occultism, filled with chemical mixtures and some rituals of transmutation and summoning.

So, even with his insecurities, he ran to a tavern in the port of his village.

There he presented his theory to a village soldier and asked for his help, so he could accomplish what he needed to confirm his theory.

The soldier then accepted his offer, and the two left the tavern, where Nick spoke something like a shot in the foot.

he said:

"I must cross this sea to the lost continent, there, I can do what I want."

The lost continent, in turn, was a place full of monsters, which for the time being was exploited by one of the great nations of that region.

The same nation had power over Nick's village, that is, they were controlled by the governor of that nation.

Anyway, the soldier said:

"ARE YOU CRAZY? THERE'S NO PLACE TO PEOPLE LIKE YOU !!"

So, very confident, Nick responds:

"I do not care, I just want to prove my theory."

And thus the soldier scorns:

"What are you going to defend yourself with?"

And then, Nick takes from the pocket of his coat 5 Kunais, an oriental weapon of attack or of melee, and responds:

"Thereby."

The soldier, laughing, says it will never be enough to hold a dragon, and leaves, still laughing.

Once again Nick had failed.

But he would not give up that easy.
