I'm not entirely sure what I was doing here...with this, it's a character who's torn between different parts of himself.
One half of him is murderous and vengeful and angry at the world for being forced to pretend to be something he's not. The other half is losing control of this wild and dangerous side, and is scared of what will happen when he can't control himself anymore.
The second picture emphasizes the first.
