"Um... where are we?" Submerging underwater.
"Uh... the lake?" Beating the mud out of his pajamas in the water.
The girl could not help but notice the boy adorning purple and red marks on his body. "Was there someone with you? Or were you traveling alone?
The boy did not respond.
"I'll put more on those cuts later back at the cottage."
He gritted his teeth, rubbing his left foot on his right leg underwater. "Okay..." the lake purified his worries. "where's your house?"
She pointed. The cottage stood on a small hill just a few steps from the lake. "Oh, I didn't see that."
She smiled, pouring the water out of his pajamas. "Come on, you'll catch a cold if you stay there long enough." Covering his body with her cloak, they turned their course to the Hill to meet with the cottage.
The house had smoke clouding the ceiling. "Oh god! The fish!" She bolted into a room, Okay, that's the kitchen, and this must be the living room. He thought, being left to reminisce.
It looked like a normal cottage, wooden walls, wooden floor, wooden table and wooden sink, lanterns chased the darkness, comforting him as he closed his eyes.
Am I dreaming? but that hurt earlier so probably I'm not. That voice, that... monster thing and this girl. What's going on? Why am I here? Where's mama? He pondered an explanation, coming out with an idea.
Am I... in Narnia?
"Go ahead and make yourself comfortable! There are some clothes in the room just beside the table, go ahead and take them, I'll be out soon." She said.
He did what she instructed. The clothes were neatly folded on the bed. Was she expecting me? He wondered. To the left was a sword, inside its leather casing. He wiggled the clothes on, a perfect fit, similar to the girl's dress yet a little uncomfortable compared to his pajamas. The pajamas mama bought for me!
Exiting the room, the girl placed a dish on the table. "Nearly burnt it... close one. I'll get some water." Disappearing once more into the kitchen. He sat down, a plate was already placed for him.
"Is someone else coming?" He asked, but she didn't answer for a moment.
"No... We'll patch up those cuts later okay?"
"Um... Okay..." Cuts? "Ouch! Oh... these cuts."
Mama, where am I? I don't know what's happening. I wanna go home, I'm getting scared. Please tell me this is only a dream. He caressed one of his cuts.
Ouch! But... this feels real.
