It stood before her, swooping down and picking her up with its claws. "Mira!" Helplessly dangling upside down, he slid the wooden sword from its casing and tried cutting the rope.
The monster's glowing eyes hypnotized her. "M..Mira." The monster spoke. "...Allen?"
The trap was already withered, cutting through, the ground punched him wide awake. The monster was squeezing her to sleep. "Hey! Leave her alone!"
Setting down the girl, it's gaze furiously locked on the boy, it extended its claws and prepared to run after him. "No! Allen!" On the ground, her body was paralyzed. She watched as the boy was at the mercy of the beast.
I can do this... But... I'm scared...
He held the sword tightly, pointing its tip at the monster as it circled around him. They were in an arena of their own creation. It attacked!
I... I'm not afraid... I shouldn't be afraid...
The boy was no match for its size and power, yet the monster had visible wounds that made its movements slow. A flurry of talons wiped in the air, the boy, rolling, stabbing and slicing the monster's wounds. He never wavered to stop advancing as the monster became weaker with every blow.
"I'm not afraid of you!"
A blunt paw knocked him away hard, plunging him into the trees. He scratched the ground while pulling his body up, panting and gasping for air, his vision became cloudy, attacked by the piercing sound in his ears.
The ground under his feet was soft. It roared, waiting for him to stand. He spun around and leaped to the other side of the ground. The monster was charging at him.
The ground broke underneath the monster, it was clawing its way up, suddenly it's forehead split and a red diamond was showing. Without thinking, he jumped at the monster and stabbed its forehead. It shattered, sending the monster flying back and out of the hole while the boy was shocked out of his mind, paralyzed by the sudden surge of force that propelled him away.
Its body started to melt, black tar flooded the grass, immersed in the substance laid a boy. The spell lifted from her body, "Allen!" She stood and ran to the tar covered boy, hugging him tightly.
She... safe... I... I did it! I can't... believe I did it!
"You did well." A gentle echoing voice came from behind him. Two black dogs emerged from the forest. "who are you?" He asked. "I am Author." The lead one spoke, picking the boy up on his knees and aiding him to stand.
The sounding night was filled with her tears of joy. without speaking she gave the seed back. The dog offered aid and not long, they rode them, disappearing into the forest.
