Midnight called for us. All three of us. Adrian ran inside and me and my love strode peacefully out the gardens. He grabbed onto my hand and I held onto his. We looked at each other and smiled brightly before stealing a kiss. We leaned on each other as we came into the dinning room for our lunch. We sat next to one another. The smiles on our faces wouldn’t wipe away by anything. Not even when Midnight glared. We didn’t care. And she knew that we didn’t. She was just being her protective self. Still unsure about us being together.
Just before anyone could take their first bite of the meal, the window shattered as a demon flew in with its screeching voice. The guards rushed to slay the creature but were slayed themselves. Blood splattered onto the table and before I could think twice, I was being pulled out the room. I stumbled over my feet as we ran down to the dungeons. Demons were on each side of us, slaying anyone or thing in their way.
A dark hedgehog with purple patterns screams were cut off as a sword was buried in her neck. An orange cat fell forward with multiple knives in his back. A guard was flown against the wall and decapitated, his head rolling on the ground and blood painting on the wall. Midnight has always talked about demons, but this was worse than my imagination of the blood thirsty killers here. Once we make it to the dungeons, the floor is nothing but a pool of blood and bodies. I felt like gagging from the scene. I could hear the distant battle cries of Adrian as he fought. Midnight tugged the two of us into the stone area and as far away from the raging battle outside.
I gasped as the blade went straight through me. I stared back into the golden eyes of my murderer. He had fought and killed, I had fought and avenged. All my friends. Rouge, Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Sonic, Shadow. And even my love. The love I won’t be able to see no more. Due to the monster before us both. Mephiles behind me gasped when noticing me in front of him. Darkness only smiled wickedly and harshly took back his blade, watching me sway and fall.
Mephiles caught me and held me close. His worried graze went all along my body. His warm hand rested on my bleeding wound. My dad chuckled darkly, mockingly. Mephiles snapped to him with anger. I tried to call for him but it was too late. My love laid me down and took after my father. They became blurs as my vision faded.
“Mephiles…” I whispered, taking my last breath before everything went black.
Narrator’s POV
Mephiles crashed Darkness into a building and caved him with crystal spikes. His rage boiled his blood and drove him to come down, burying his pointed ice fingers into the demon’s chest. Blazing red eyes stared at amused gold. Darkness gave out one final huff before his head fell. Mephiles’ eyes faded back to pale green as his anger soothed to worry and fright. The ebony hedgehog ran from the corpse and to his love.
“Silver?” he called, falling to his knees and holding the snowy hedgehog. When he received no answer, he panicked.
“S-Silver? My love? Please… Please answer me! I can’t lose you too!” shouted the distressed male. His cries turned into sobs as he knew his precious love wouldn’t wake from his death slumber. His cries echoed into the world of nothingness.
The planet was surrounded by dark clouds that were tinted red. Demons from the black hole still swarmed out of it. The dark crimson beasts flew around the world, finding a new place and destroying everything there. Mobius had become nothing but a new home of destruction.
An ebony hedgehog with grey streaks and pale green eyes stared down at a single stone. His love’s name was written on said stone. Their friends were all buried around him. This male stood by his friends and love for as long as he could. Though, soon enough, he created a protective crystal dome around them, and took off to help anyone who still alive.

Yes. Terrible ending. In more ways than one. But it is over. I have thought about making a second book where Silver comes back but I’ll leave that to your decision. Anyways, I hope you liked it (somewhat).
