No, he won’t find his princess today. The guy in front of him spilled his coffee or cocoa over him and ruined his perfect already messy look. Both of them were awkwardly starring at the super dirty hoodie, that Even didn’t hear or better said didn’t care that the school bell rung. Now he was definitely late but that wasn’t the problem. It was the burning sensation over his chest. His face twitched in pain and his hands went straight to the burning spot. Other students just stopped walking and looked at what was happening there. It’s the typical school situation where everyone is watching but no one is trying to help. How Even hates these situations but what was with the boy in front of him?
Dark hair, blue eyes, fair skin and wearing a leather jacket with black jeans. He looked like a bad boy straight out of a movie but something didn’t fit together. He starred in confusion and worry to the wet spot on Evens hoodie. “I’m sorry. Does it hurt? I will bring you to the infirmary.”, said the stranger with worry to the green eyed boy. He already figured out that it was a new boy by his behavior. It was an unspoken rule to always use the right door to enter and the left to leave but Even, in his hurry, went through the left door.
The stranger stood up and gave Even a hand. They went through the hallways into a dark room. The black haired guy turned on the light and went in first. “I’m really sorry. It is your first day, right? Sit down there I will bring you some cold thing to cool your burn.”, he told him while pointing at a plain black chair and disappearing through the door. Even looked around. It was a white room with a first aid kit hanging on the right side of the window, next to him was a big bed that had white bedding and a black coat over it. On the other side was a computer with a phone lying on it.
He turned his head around after hearing a loud noise, it was the guy slamming the door. He had a bag with ice cubes in one hand and a black shirt in the other. “Here take it. Be sure to cool it off and ehm.. you can use my shirt. Oh, by the way what is your name? My name is Gabriel. I need to go.”, he said in a hurry.” I’m Even and wait before you go. Where is the Mensa.”, he replied while cooling his chest.” If you go right and then just the hallway straight through you will reach the Mensa in no time. “, were the last words after he went out of the room.
“What a strange guy, he looked so dangerous but he was actually friendly.”, thought Even. He changed into the other shirt and went out of the room. “Okay I need to go right”, he said silently to himself. Walking through the hallway he observed and studied the school. It was bright, there were many windows and it looked friendly, not like his old school. He reached the end, there was a big glass door band in front of it was the boy named Gabriel.
“What was he doing here?”
“Err.. Even, right? I forgot to tell you that I’m probably in the same grade with you. Let’s go in together.”, that said Gabriel pushed the door and went inside with Even. “Sorry for being late Mr. Hermann we had an accident.”, came out of Gabriel in an instant. The teacher just told them with the hands to sit down. The whole grade was sitting there. So many new faces for Even and few old ones that he knew from his old school. He sat down on an empty chair near the door. Aiden went to a group of people, his friends and sat down with them.
The teacher explained everything about this grade. Many students didn’t pay attention to that, while others were talking with each other just a small group of people really cared what Mr. Hermann told them and one of them was Even. After the long speech students asked questions about the new system.
While the others asked, Even lost all interest in the speech. He looked around in search of princess material, even if the thoughts were strange he never really questioned his wish of being a prince like prince charming for his sweet princess.
All kind of girls were there: blond girls, dark haired girls, bigger and smaller girls, short haired and dark skinned girls. He didn’t have a preference, he never did, actually he never dated before because he never found the right one. It’s not like girls didn’t like him, it was the opposite he was and still is really popular. While thinking he didn’t notice that everyone was packing their things just when the bell rung he woke up from his thinking and went out of the big Mensa.
