You woke up to someone carefully shaking your shoulder. "(f/n), (f/n) wake up" said that familiar sweet voice. As you heard it your eyes immediately shot open to reveal a pair of bright green eyes looking down at you. It didn't take long for you to realize that your head was resting on Takuma's lap, making you sit up quickly, only to make your head pound once again. You muttered a quiet "Sorry" as you felt bad for having used him as a pillow. You then noticed a white fabric on your lap, that had fell down due to you suddenly sitting up. Picking it up, you realize that it was Takuma's jacket. You quickly hand it back to him, making him chuckle at your nervous and uncomfortable attitude. "Calm down, it's just me. No need to get all flustered" he said with a smile. Realizing how frantic you must've seemed you quickly tried calming yourself as you placed the jacket on his lap and looked at your watch. "I gotta go, see you toni... I mean tomorrow night" you say, forgetting about his birthday party there for a while. "Yeah, see you (f/n)" he said with a wave before you started walking to class, grabbing something to eat on the way.
Having actually slept through majority of the night your headache had lightened up slightly, but you were actually considering visiting the nurse if it didn't get better by tomorrow and at least get an explanation to what exactly was going on.
Your trail of thought was interrupted by a man with an eyepatch walking through the door. As soon as he walked through the door his eye landed on Zero, sitting at the back row, looking shocked beyond belief. The teacher didn't seem to give him much more attention as he simply walked up to the board. "Good morning everyone. My name is Toga Yagari and as of today I am your homeroom teacher" he said and mere seconds later a shitstorm of questions erupted from the class. Seeing this you simply leaned back in your seat, not really caring all that much.
Having had a good night's sleep for once you actually participated in the lesson, wanting to make a good first impression on the teacher. The fact that your classmates were staring at you in disbelief didn't really surprise you. Not that they thought you were stupid, in fact, you were at the top of the class and everyone was aware of it, but you weren't really one to ever pay attention during class. What did surprise you, though, was the fact that Yagari also gave you these weird and confused glances from time to time, as if he wasn't sure what to think about you.
As class ended it seemed you weren't the only one that noticed as Minami immediately started blabbering about it. Being uninterested in their conversation as usual you simply zoned out. You started thinking about all the weird things that had happened lately. First it was that weird smell that you couldn't really place, then the headache and the thirst and now there is a weird-ass teacher who keeps looking at you in a strange manner. Where you going mad or was something weird going on here? Not finding any answers to the question you simply shake it off, thinking that it wasn't really important and that things would sort themselves out soon enough.
As you go to bed that night you felt really uneasy and the pounding headache from a couple of nights had returned, and you wondered if it hadn't gotten worse too. You lay down in your bed pretending to sleep until the girls had fallen asleep themselves. Still feeling unable to move you simply lay there, the headache getting worse by the minute. The weird thing was that the smell from that night that seemed to have started it wasn't there. As you waited and hoped to god it'd get better you could feel your throat grow dry to the point where it became difficult to breathe. You reached your hands up reflexively, holding your completely parched throat as your head pounded worse than you had ever experienced earlier.
Then came that smell again, and this time it felt like your body started moving on it's own, as you stood up on shaky legs, starting to walk outside toward the smell. Somewhere on the way you completely lost control over your own mind as the incredible thirst took over.
At the party, Shiki had just "accidentally" cut Takuma's finger while preparing to cut the cake. Zero ran out with Yuki following right behind him. Then, all of a sudden everyone there could seance the presence of a vampire, majority of them getting ready to fight in case it was a level E. Then came the rustling in the bushes next to them as everyone became rather tense. "Calm yourselves" Kaname said calmly, and the very second after he had uttered those words you came stumbling through the bushes. "She's not a level E, she was born a vampire" he explained, making all of them completely drop their guard.
As your legs no longer could support your weight you fell to your knees. At that moment Takuma managed to see your face that had been facing the ground up until then. "(f/n)!" he yelled, panicing as he ran up to you. "She probably hasn't drunk blood her entire life. That thirst isn't only extremely painfully, but also weakens you tremendously. Taking that into account she's probably even had difficulties moving lately" Kaname explained, looking almost disgusted by your weak and helpless appearance. Letting that sink in, Takuma simply stared at you in shock, before thoroughly having considered the situation. As he finally realized what was going on he moved the hair lying against his neck to the side before moving your head toward it. Your eyes widened in shock before going from red to something in between red and (e/c) as you used every last bit of strength you had to pull your head away from his neck.
Your fangs were still clearly visible and the thirst pained you to the point where it felt like you could die at any second, but you tried to resist, not wanting to hurt him. Seeing your resistance he once again moved your head toward his neck before piercing the skin with one of his nails, making the blood run down his neck. As the sweet smell filled your nose you felt the thirst take over again, as you bit down harshly on his neck. As the sweet, thick fluid filled your mouth tears started escaping your eyes, running down your face until they hit his neck and mixed with the blood. He seemed to notice this as he soothingly started patting the back of your head while repeatedly telling you that it was going to be okay, that everything would work out.
When you had had just enough blood to regain the power of your own actions you pulled away from his neck. You realized that the amount you drunk wasn't enough, but if you had kept going there was no telling what might have happened to Takuma. He might even have died. Your eyes once again went back to their original colour and your fangs shrunk back to their original size. You look straight into Takuma's eyes, sincerity written all over your face as if you were preparing to say something, before you fainted.
Author's note! Aaaaand, bam! There came the plot twist most of you had probably seen a mile away, but you, dear Reader-chan, are a vampire! And you were born one as well, without ever knowing. So, stay tuned to get to know more about that, and to read about some more action between you and Takuma. Furthermore, I hope you enjoyed this chapter! //Yours truly, Handsomesquid :3
