I just watched "Percy Jackson and the lightning thief" again and honestly, it's much worse than the first time I watched it. But something popped out of my head when I saw they depicted Persephone as a... slut: what Hades would think of that. XD
Hades reaction to the movie was how I reacted to the movie >:( I've read the books and they're really good. 'Lightning Thief' leads you up to believe that Hades is the villain right up until Percy reaches the Underworld and speaks to Hades, it's like 'nah son, why would I steal Zeus' bolt I have my own issues to deal with, namely someone has stolen my helm of darkness'. Hades actually gets a 'Big Damn Hero' moment in 'Last Olympian' when he arrives to help the demigods stop Kronos' army from entering Olympus (The other gods were elsewhere fighting). In the short story 'Percy Jackson and the sword of Hades' Persephone kidnaps Thalia (The daughter of Zeus), Percy (The Son of Poseidon), and Nico (The son of Hades, the books go with the idea that Hades is married half the year, so Persephone tends to turn a blind eye to Hades' demigod children) to find a sword Persephone had made for Hades in order to make his power equal with his brothers. In fact in the books Persephone gets offended when Percy thinks she resents Hades for marrying her, and yells at Demeter for badmouthing Hades in 'Last Olympian'.
I made some extra comics about Hades and Persephone during the making of my main comic Underworld love story. they including 1 page or several pages stories.
