Falcon Acquas The Venice. Acquas of my mother, a woman of the magical world, and La Venice, my father of the mortal world. Ever heard of Ariel's story? A mermaid that turns into a human to marry a normal man? Well, it's basically the story of the two and where it all begins. I lived in Italy in a wine region called Taranto, just to the south and where my parents met on a stony beach. My father was the son of the owner of most lands in southern Italy, when he died and left everything to his son. On one of his horseback rides, he saw a naked woman in need of care. After they fell in love, my mother told the truth and they got married. But my mother only told me this story when I turned 15. It was the best birthday present and she was relieved by my good humor as the news that her mother is actually a supernatural being.
From that day, I researched everything about the magical world and asked her to tell me stories and show me her true form. Mom bought a sea witch spell that gave her the versatility of being human when she wanted to. My mother never went back to sea.
But I studied, and the family relationship was never so close and good-humored, it seemed that the weight of the world had gotten off their backs. And then the inner jokes came out because of her red hair, and her flippers. We were happy for another 4 years, until Daddy died. It was so sudden that it hurt the whole family. My mother sold the wineries, since I had said that I had no interest in them, but I made sure she sold it to someone in the Venice family to honor his memory. He would hate to see the work of several generations sold for some. But my mother could not stand it much longer without him, and soon became ill. She had to go back to the sea, where she had a better chance of recovering, but she could not stand it much longer when she died on the same beach where she and she had met.
I was orphaned the very day the college admission letter arrived. I was happy, but I still feel heavy with events. But I know they wanted this as much as I do and I do not want to disappoint them. I will go to Westport Galway with the greatest pleasure. Years inside a focused room, studying 8 years that I had not been in the magical world, plus the subject of the entrance exam, only to see and feel up close the wonderful world that my mother lived and had the charity to tell. I would never be happy being a farmer, or accountant.
In the Italian region, beyond my parents' den, I left behind a person who knows nothing about this part of my life, but knows everything about me. Helena and I dated 4 months, and she was the only one who understood my introspective study time, even though I did not know that I would leave a few days later to Ireland, and I would stay there for 4 years. But she cried when I told her. I had to say that I would do Engineering in Belgium and that we had better separate. The truth is that I also cried, but I still had to catch the train to arrive at the 12:00 noon.
Orphaned, single, torn from friends and thrown into a dangerous world where prehistoric monsters spit fire and have wings, no notion of what will happen or what kind of people I will find. My fear is to meet someone and forget Helena. I know it's possible and I was already watching a girl who took the same bus that I went to college. She had beautiful clear eyes and brown hair and fine features, but at the same time she had full lips. As round as ... Well, other seductive parts of it. I felt like an asshole on the inside, but a good asshole. After all, an adventure better than my life I find very difficult to exist.
My rooms are private thanks to the fortune that the sale of the winery and the inheritances were ... inherited. It is one of the luxuries and whimsies that I can not resist. I would have room for my books and my schedule to turn the lights on and off. Leave everything to the maid to clean, without having to worry about other people's belongings or "sexual visitors from others." It's the best of both worlds that I'm very proud of.
After seeing the Campus, and fleeing the veterans who scolded to play ridiculous jokes and slapstick jokes on my mustard tux, I checked the school grid and ...
-Op! Sorry man ... - Earth's biggest brute had just practically towed me into the lobby. I had to look up to see him through.
"There's no Trolls here. I looked him up and down my path. What kind of excuses were those? What posture was that? If that guy were the same as the rest of the UUO students, I was already disappointed.
"Hey, who do you think you are? He said, pulling my shoulder. "I'm a student just like you, you little fagot."
-I'm Falcon Acquas La Venice. Is that you? Is it Shrek?
He broke off on me when a teacher stepped in and saved the big one from the greatest humiliation he'd ever experienced. If only I had left him alive. Something was different about him, and it was not the size. Maybe something in the yellow eyes. Maybe in the dark skin, or in the excess of hair, I do not know.
I only know that I went to the opposite side of that human beast (or human half) and the anger was passing in the third step, when I heard the idiot shout:
-I'm Harris! Student of Draculaology! He turned away from the teacher and ran to me. - Just like you.
We looked at each other for seconds as he handed me the railing I had dropped when he pulled me into the tux.
