"You all don't get it..... She gets it... how come a 14 year old and not my own mother." with this statement Elizabeth's mother turned pail. "How come she holds sympathy for those that are not human, but you don't." Elizabeth's mother was getting unstable and yelling at Prudence.
"Look what you did! She is blaming me because of you!" She sneered, but was soon silenced by a loud crack. She looked to her baby to see his neck had been twisted. She let out a scream of despair.
"Don't interrupt me... No one respects me but you." She said while looking at Prudence with wonder. Her heart sank Prudence was terrified."I know what needs to be done."
Right then in the center of the room a black dust circled around Elizabeth's figure while everyone stared. When the black dust whisked away her ropes were gone and she was standing still. Elizabeth looked at Prudence with a smile.
"I know your smart you weren't meant for these times." Elizabeth said with pity. As Elizabeth looked at Prudence she took out some chalk and began to sing a nursery rhyme.
"S-stop now!" The judge said but a second later his mouth filled with slugs as he choked on them.
"Now now Mr. Jude you need to be quiet while I work." as Elizabeth began to finish a symbol on the ground a man worked up the courage to charge at her. This only made Elizabeth laugh as more people began to get up to do the same she sent out a dark mist which bound everyone to their seats.
Prudence was scared she had tears in her eyes and wanted to do nothing more than to cry in someones arms. Elizabeth looked at her in sympathy and finished her chalk drawing. Elizabeth took her hand and laid it in the middle of what looked like a drawing of a broken mirror. She said something under her breath that sounded like someones dying breath.
"Everyone in this town shall never bare another child and those in pregnancy shall die at childbirth with their babies." as she said that a pregnant women screamed in agony. she continued, " All of you will be affected by this and will receive a disease designed to kill you in the most painful way you can imagine. You, Prudence will not be affected by any of this, but you will still be cursed for being the same species." Prudence looked at her in pure fear, Prudence looked at her father who was staring at Prudence. "Prudence you will never age or die, but when I die you will have my powers do you understand love."
