A young girl who's name is Prudence Mary Constance. gets cursed to never age or die around the 1600s. After the witch that cursed her dies she gets the witch's powers. Later, she gets taken away to a facility named Auryon which she is the first one to ever attend to earning her the name The Original, or number 1. Several other creatures are brought in and the first ten creatures, including prudence earn their rankings. They are kept in several facilities all separate from each other they all eventually escape except Prudence due to her having higher security. Later, the one and only Death stumbles upon the first facility also known as The Source. They set fire to apart of the facility freeing some creatures which lets Prudence escape. In the fire they see each other which is a sight neither will forget.
