All Prudence could feel was fear what was Elizabeth doing. She was scared and looked to her father who was looking pail.
"Do you understand Prudence?" all Prudence could do was nod. She was terrified as Elizabeth laughed she looked at the crowd and simply pointed and something golden came out of her sleeve.
Golden? Why was it golden Prudence thought. She related gold and white with elegance and the lord not a witch. Prudence looked at her as the golden things were going to people. They kinda looked like tentacles, but dust, and about to infect someone with disease and death. Prudence watched as one went over to her father. No, they didn't look like tentacles but like ribbons of gold going over to him.
This intrigued Prudence more then the fact this was gonna kill everyone. As she watched the first one happen it let a horrifying image in her head. The golden ribbon object circled around the person's arm and then inserted itself into their wrist and simply then slipped into them. This was gory she was fine with gore but seeing it one friends and family hurt her so much. As this finished two slipped into Prudence's wrist it was painful and with this the dark dust bounding the town to their chairs disappeared.
Prudence looked at Elizabeth who smiled and took her hand. Elizabeth led her out into the night, Prudence's father only glanced her way and said nothing more. Elizabeth laughed.
"You don't need him you have me and thanks for saying all those nice things about me and you were right." Elizabeth said in a perky tone.
"I was right?" Prudence was confused and didn't like being confused. Prudence was scared and wouldn't show it. She looked at her old friend with a innocent stare that was the opposite of her. She simply wasn't very innocent. She looked at Elizabeth she seemed calm she even knew how to make the glint of fear leave her eyes. Elizabeth looked at her intrigued by her behavior.
"Hey Prudence before I acted weird I was still a witch. I just hid it well kind like you."
"Excuse me?" Prudence was confused she hid a lot of things but she didn't think Elizabeth knew any.
"Prudence I know you are not like them you like the darkness you want nothing more than to just run away into the darkness." Prudence's eyes widened she had thought of it but how did she know?
