Months had passed the majority of everyone had died and Prudence was all alone. Only her father and her were alive in their neighborhood. Prudence's father was close to death. So every single day Prudence would stay by her father's side. Only 7 people besides Prudence and her father remained. Prudence was certain it was now 6 because yesterday a women by the name Jewels was starting to stop breathing.

"Prudence, come here." her father said in almost a hush tone. Prudence hurried over to her father's side. A man she knew so little about, but always stood strong was here on the bed close to death. Her voice got caught up in her throat she was forcing back tears Prudence hated to cry, she didn't cry when her mother or brother died or felt like she was about to, the only time she felt like crying is when the cursed happened and she was looking at her father. She was so confused why her father was making her tear up.

"Yes father what is it." her own voice startled her it sounded strong and not fearful which was to opposite of her right now.

"Take this, it was my mother's." he forced a journal into her hand. She flipped through the pages. They were pages filled with fighting tatics and how to trick people and sound persuasive. Basically everything you need to know of how to kill someone.

"Why did you have this? Also, why give it to me? You could have given it to brother when he was alive."

"Prudence you need this for the future. You are not like a human now you need to be careful of those who hunt you."

"Y-yes father."

"I don't say it much I love you. Kill what humans you must to live my Prudence." as he said this his eyes rolled to the back of his head and his chest stopped rising and falling. Prudence didn't scream. She smiled and said thank you over and over again she cried while saying this. 

   She left the house which she hadn't done in ages she looked around and held the journal close to her chest. Then, outcomes Elizabeth from a tree with a huge grin on her face. 

"The man finally died so for my final curse I want to try something!" Elizabeth giggled, but frowned at Prudence's blank face. Prudence sighed and walked off. Elizabeth grabbed her hand. "You don't get to leave that easily! Now stay still!" Elizabeth made a sign with her hand which Prudence picked up to be the same one on the floor of the court house.

   As Elizabeth finished making her hand signs she began to chant a unknown tongue. As she finished the chant Prudence's hair began to get longer and slowly turn to a different color. Prudence held her hair it turned a purple with a hint of pink. She simply looked at Elizabeth with a really face.

"Elizabeth this is nothing compared to what you have dine so what is the point." 

"I wanted to see different hair and my my you look gorgeous!" Elizabeth said with a grin and walked off. Prudence was confused first her father dies and gives her a killing journal now this! Prudence was beginning to question her sanity for the eightieth time, but she was quickly snapped out of the trance when a loud scream was herd.
