Her feet hurt like hell as she ran all the way across town to the screaming. The sight before her left her devastated. Crimson blood went up the walls of the buildings. Bodies were left on the ground, the smell was putrid and could only be described as the scent of death.
"Who did this." Her voice was strong. Prudence was beginning to hate her own voice she wanted to hear her emotions which she was lacking. Her eyes searched the scene. She wasn't afraid, she was still confused by what had recently happened such as her father just dying and her hair.
She walked around the town looking for who started the killing. She spotted a group behind the trees. She crouched her eyes studying the scene a bunch of men and women talking. Her mind screamed to run but her body acted on its own. As she crouched in front of the sight at hand one of the men said something that confused her. He said the witches must be hiding.
The witches? There was only one witch and that was Elizabeth. She quickly realized they meant her. Then with everybody dead no one could say otherwise. She looked at them with fear. Where could they have gotten this false information? That didn't matter what mattered was getting away. She began to walk away slowly and quietly she walked. As she reached the town painted int crimson blood. She slipped on one of the bodies. She grabbed onto a nearby fence. She sighed, but then looked up above her was the dead body of a farmer his eyes were open and so was his mouth.
She didn't like that his eyes were open. She stood back up her body shaking. she then turned to her right and walked away with the journal in her hands the whole time. She turned around only to be met with one of the men she screamed and ran. She then felt something in her side. A ripping noise was heard as she looked at her rib cage an ax was right there. She looked at the man and fell to the floor.
"Die witch!" He screamed her side hurt so bad. As he swung the ax over his head he sliced it down her eyes looked at the ax as it went to her head she herd a crack and saw red invaded her vision.
Then there was darkness. She felt alone she felt like she was drowning. It was like this for awhile until a light started to shine and so did many other lights they were blinding but comforting. She stayed in the darkness looking up at the lights she then felt her eyes opened. Her eyes looked at the lights. They didn't hurt her eyes they were just bright. She tried to move her arms but then looked down she was strapped to a table in a room. She then noticed the lights were torches and she was in a room made of marble. That is why they seemed so bright she looked around she was confused. A man in a white robe came out with a sinister smile.
