If the Weird Luck webcomic is the first piece of the Weird Luck Saga that you’re reading... meet Max Warlock.
If you’ve already read other parts of the Weird Luck Saga, you may have already met Max. He appears in Andrew’s novel Cannibal-King, the third book in the City of the Watcher trilogy, which takes place nine months before this chapter of the webcomic.
He’s also a central character in another of Andrew’s novels, Wallflower Assassin, which (SPOILER ALERT) takes place sometime AFTER the current webcomic story arc. That’s Max on the cover of Wallflower Assassin, in fact.
And a much younger Max, still in his teens, is the narrator of Andrew’s short story “Testimony of the Teen Ogre,” which appears in the first volume of The Spoon Knife Anthology. Andrew also published “Testimony of the Teen Ogre” as the second issue of his Weird Luck Tales zine, and a PDF version of that issue is available here as a free download for all Weird Luck Patreon subscribers.
And here he is again, dangerous as always.
I highly recommend reading all of Andrew’s novels and stories, because they’re great. But if you haven’t read them and you just want to read the webcomic, don’t worry - everything you need to know about Max will be revealed in the pages of the comic eventually.
And you’re not alone - Agent Sojac hasn’t read Andrew’s novels, either, so she also doesn’t know who this guy is yet.
