I saw guesses that it'd be Nick's friends, Harry the birthday boy, Tara Jones, or Ben... well SURPRISE. It's all of them.

In the UK, students are age 12 and 13 when they’re in Year 8! Nick would have been 13 when he kissed Tara (he has a September birthday).
P.s. I am only just realising what a terrible decision it was to have two separate characters named ‘Tori’ and ‘Tara’. APOLOGIES FOR ANY CONFUSION. I’m gonna add Tara to the characters page soon :’)

I hope this isn't a thing where sad Charlie makes the error of hooking up with Ben while Nick comes back to find Charlie and sees them, and a chapter of drama and feelings ensues. I hate unnecessary drama.
