-So you are also... dead?
Blaze and Clover nodded in unison. Every movement the young trio moved, the grey ambient experienced a new color.
-2013
-2014
They said respectively. Unexpectedly, they didn't seem sad or melancholic when they said that. More like just telling a short story which wouldn't express feeling.
Clover was the first to speak.
-I was coming back from a school trip when the bus fell off the route. I floated up from the lake bellow the highway when I realized nobody else was with me, and the world seemed to slowly loose color. I thought I was the only one who made it, who came out of the water, but I was wrong.
She made a short pause, maybe trying to remember, maybe trying to find the words.
-When I reached the shore, I realized I had this with me.
She rolled up the sleeve of her pants to show a little ankle bracelet with a little shell in the shape of a water drop.
A soft smile covered her face
-I didn't understand at first until I touched it and started thinking again, coming out of the shock. It was my Soul Shelter. When I used it I could understand most of the questions I had asked myself. A little book inside it told me. As an innocent me, I thought I was still alive and it was a prize for surviving, the book never used the word.
Death.
-We appeared in the newspapers, just a paragraph. Appeared on the TV, 17 minutes. I didn't get surprised, I guess some people care more about politics.
Clover shrugged, but you could notice the loneliness in her eyes.
Blaze quickly went to support her and join their fingers, but she pulled it away.
-Even if it was a few years ago-
She continued
-I feel as if time goes on slowly. And I grew out of it like if a hundred years have passed.
Lavender's eyes quickly moved to Blaze, expecting another story, but not too happy to wait for her turn.
