It’s amazing how the smallest experience can make you think existentially about life. I like the idea of minimalism in comics, and with this strip I wanted to play with the passage of time using something as simple as a growing beard. After I drew it I had the realization that life is nothing if not a series of cyclical events. I also started a much longer internal monolog, but cut it down in the spirit of minimalism.

Composed Comics are memoir style journal comics by Kyle Rose. They are about working as an advertising designer, living in New York, being recently married and making webcomics. But mostly they are about trying to say something profound through the little moments in life.
